Chinese tangram concept in 7 shapes and 7 colors were executed in the 'Lego' bricks design, resulting in a fusion of West and East in a monumental artwork befitting of Taipei 101, the tallest building at the time.

The structure of the artwork was designed and built to withstand natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons and for easy maintenance of lighting. Every glass brick was also engraved with the names of donors who had contributed to the building of Taipei 101.
